Step 1:Make sure your pool was registered by 1st November 2020.The first step is to provide us with a copy of the letter sent to you by your local council. This will contain important information relating to the year your pool was built and the specific standard that is applicable to your pool. | Step 2:With registration in place, you are now ready to get your pool certified. This is the easy bit. Contact Victorian Pool Inspectors to help get your Certificate of Barrier Compliance completed. |
Step 3:You have 30 days to submit your Pool Compliance Certificate to council. When you have received your pool certification, it’s important to lodge this within 30 days of your pool inspection, otherwise it expires and you’ll have to start all over again. Not ideal. | Step 4:It’s time to enjoy your swimming pool and spa until your next inspection is due. We’ll contact you in 4 years time to arrange a forthcoming inspection – as per legal and council requirements. |
We understand there are many questions around what rules ‘do and don’t’ apply to your pool.
A good starting point is to visit the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) website to find all the information you need including details on council requirements, regulations and checklists that specifically apply to your pool barrier fencing.
